About Bucket

Bucket is a technology platform that facilitates coinless cash transaction at retail locations. Think of us as the digital piggy bank that does all of the work for you.
Bucket puts your coin change from cash transactions into a digital account. If you are at one of our participating retailers, ask the cashier to Bucket your coins after paying with cash. Then, you just provide your phone number to the cashier for your coin change to be digitally deposited into your account and you get the paper bills back. Once your Bucket account hits $50 from your accumulated change, we’ll send you a message to cash out.
Bucket will be available via our website which can be accessed through your phone, tablet, or desktop.
We will start rolling out in January 2018. Fill out the “Get Updates” form to stay in the loop regarding when you can start Bucketing your change.
Absolutely not. Bucket is a completely free service.

Signing Up

No, you will not. Once you’re at a participating retailer, tell the cashier to Bucket your change and with just a phone number, we’ll get you started.
All you need to sign up is a phone number and email address. You will need to enter your bank account information to cash out but you don’t have to do that at sign up.
You can sign up online before you Bucket your change for the first time, or you can sign up online after you Bucket your change for the first time. We’ll send you a text to get you started.
Bucket is a web-based application so you don’t need to download any apps to use it.

Your Bucket Account

To change the phone number associated with your account, you will go to “Settings” and edit from there. Once your number has been changed, make sure you use your new number when you Bucket your change.
Currently, Bucket is only available in the United States. However, we will be expanding internationally in the future, so stay tuned!
No worries, you’ll just go to the log in page and click the “Forgot Password” link. Once there, just enter the phone number you used to register with and a new verification code will be sent to you. You will then be asked to reset your password. If you do not receive a verification code you can click “resend code” or you can contact us.
You can track your funds at anytime simply through the Bucket website. Just sign in and you’ll be redirected to your Account page to see your current Bucket balance.

Your Bucketed Change

You get paper bills back and your coin change will stay in the cash register, as it gets digitally deposited to your online Bucket account. The money is then held in an FDIC-insured account until it’s time for you to cash out.
Once you reach $50 you can cash out directly to your bank account using our direct deposit cash out feature. We are also working on additional cash out options, including a charity program and a reloadable Visa card option.
Yes, but not yet! We are working on getting charities onboarded.
The direct deposit will take 1-3 days after you cash out.
Great for you to ask! We are working on a family plan program which lets you to add up to seven people to the same piggybank, allowing the whole family to save and bring home the bacon more often.

Banking and Security

Absolutely. All information is encrypted in 256 AES - and PCI DSS compliant.
Nope. We never charge you anything. It’s your money - we think you should be able to keep all of it.

You can get started with Bucket by filling out the form on our website under “Become A Bucket Retailer.” We will be in contact shortly after to discuss with you further.
If you have a cash register and deal with cash, Bucket is likely a benefit to your business.
We are working on integrating with a variety of POS systems and the list will continue to grow. Fill out the form on our website under “Become A Bucket Retailer” and we will contact you shortly to discuss next steps for integrating your POS.
We’ll provide materials to help educate your cashiers and make the onboarding process as smooth as possible. It’s will be a simple and easy-to-follow process which will be tailored to your POS type.

Your Bucket Account

Yes, you will be able to login to your Bucket account on our website to view and export transactions.
Nope, there are absolutely no commitments associated with using Bucket. Signing up simply means creating an account, you can stop using it whenever you’d like.
You keep them! The Bucket POS system will keep track of how much money was Bucketed by customers each day, and will transfer that amount from your account into Bucket’s at the end of the day. This means less time wasted going back and forth to the bank with coins.
